Program Management - The Plan

The Program Management Control Systems used by DSA comprise an arsenal of field tested and proven techniques. At the same time we are constantly evaluating our PDM project management methods against new trends in the PDM software lifecycle and software delivery lifecycle SDLC methods, to ensure a highly integrated approach and a continually improving environment.

Cost Management

While DSA recognizes the value of building a project on top of a strong footer, the project plan, we are also aware of the value received from management activities required during the course of the project.

Risk Management

Risks are inherent in any system development activity. Note: systems comprise people, policy, procedure and machine. Furthermore, risk taking is essential to progress, and failure is often a key part of learning. On the other hand, the inevitability of risks does not imply the inability to recognize and manage risks to minimize potential negative consequences while retaining the opportunities for creating new and better systems.

Time Management

Most often, time management in a project is viewed as the maintenance of the schedule. The schedule however is just a working tool that will allow you to determine that something is broken down or not. It is additionally used as a tool to compare against cost and performance data.

Trade Off Analysis

Trade - off analysis is a systemic approach to balancing the trade-offs between time, cost and performance. Information is required from costing, scheduling, project review reports, and the original plan. This information can be used to support the following generally accepted six step approach to trade-off analysis.
